I’m somewhat fascinated by how people and coworkers communicate with each other. Nowadays, we have practically infinite ways of exchanging thoughts, notes or work it should be easy but for some reason there still seems to be a missing link.
As a person who likes to question everything it triggers me to ask why, why does communication amongst businesses like staffing, PR, marketing, construction and law firms still fall by the wayside?
Here are my reasons why:
- There are too many ways to communicate and it’s difficult to keep track of them all
- Learning curve: people not knowing how to use a certain technology, so they avoid it completely and stick to their preferred method of communication
- The human element: some just aren’t good at replying or following up from a message or phone call
So, with any problem there needs to be a solution and if there wasn’t a solution I and we as a company wouldn’t be doing our job. So, what’s one of the solutions we’re offering our clients?
Microsoft Teams – Teams is a communications platform that combines easy-to-use workplace chat, video meetings, file storage, and application integration. Teams comes with Microsoft Office 365 which many offices currently use and makes it easy for sending messages to coworkers, creating work groups, sending videos, pictures and scheduling meetings.
A plus to Teams is that it comes with a mobile app which makes it easy for communicating by phone whether you’re in the office or not.
